Thankful...

That is the topic for this weekend.

For us here in Canada, this is our Thanksgiving weekend! We celebrate it with friends and family. It is a time to reflect and realize the abundance that we are so blessed to have around us! From food, shelter, material things to family and friends, we are truly so blessed. Its a time to give gratitude and love.

“Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.” — William Arthur Ward

“Give thanks for a little and you will find a lot.” — The Hausa of Nigeria

“God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to say “thank you?” — William A. Ward

Some great quotes on being thankful!

What does thanksgiving mean to you? Is it a time to celebrate with family and friends for what you are truly thankful for? Is it just a time together? Do you take the time to realize how blessed we really all are?

I leave you with a poem that sums it all up!

Be Thankful

Be thankful that you don’t already have everything you desire,
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don’t know something
For it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations
Because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for each new challenge
Because it will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes
They will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you’re tired and weary
Because it means you’ve made a difference.

It is easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are
also thankful for the setbacks.

GRATITUDE can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles
and they can become your blessings.
